About the Author
John M. Scheb was born in Orlando, Florida, in 1926. He entered the practice of law in 1950. He served as associate municipal judge in Sarasota, Florida, from 1957 to 1959. From 1959 to 1970, he served as City Attorney for the city of Sarasota. In 1974, he was appointed to the Florida District Court of Appeal, second district, a position he held until his retirement in 1992. Judge Scheb holds the B.A. from Florida Southern College, the J.D. from the University of Florida, and the LL.M. from the University of Virginia.

John M. Scheb, II attended the University of Florida, where he received a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in political science. He is now Professor and Head of Political Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he specializes in public law, courts, and the judicial process. Professor Scheb has authored numerous articles in professional journals and is coauthor of several other textbooks, including: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE AMERICAN LEGAL SYSTEM, 3rd Edition (Wolters Kluwer, 2013), LAW AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS (Thomson/Wadsworth, 2005), and AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, 6th Edition (Wadsworth/Cengage, 2014).

If you are a criminal justice major, this book is a must!!!

This book is excellent in explaining concepts of criminal law. It is extremely detailed in the Penal Code and the justice system statues. It has

an excellent reference section in the back of the book. It provides definitions and a glossary. This book breaks up the sections of criminal law to give you individual overviews of each topic. Very detailed. Excellent BOOK!!

The best textbook ever for CJ or Criminal Law classes

I had this book for 1.5 years and used it in Criminal Justice and Criminal Law classes. It is great because it lists the criminal law cases at the end of the book and has a glossary. Sometimes there is a lot of law lingo inolved and one must "get it", but in general it is good to understand. I highly recommend this book and will keep it for future reference.

More Than a Textbook...

When you're a student, if you can't sell back your books, they often tend to sit on a shelf collecting dust. To paraphrase William Faulkner, "that's one I don't have to read anymore." There are the rare exceptions, and "Criminal Law and Procedure" by father and son lawyer team John M. Scheb is most definitely in that category. Whether I need to refresh my memory on a statute, supreme court case, or definition, this book is my go-to. Its scope is great, but the depth is there as well. A strong foundation is provided with the preface in each section explaining English common law, Blackstone's commentaries, and how an offense was defined in in the past up to contemporary state statutes. Some of the text can be a bit dry and obtuse, but the purpose of the book is not to entertain but to inform and educate. And in that the book does a spectacular job. Comprehensive, straightforward, and packed with facts essential for criminal law students.

A FE book that shows all of the important tests that prove we do not live on a globe.

This is a very old book, but if you have been studying about flat earth , then this is one of the most important books to read. Even though it was written so long ago, the tests can be done as well today as they were then, and will help you to undertand that this earth is something different than what we are being told that it is.
Some of the tests are better for a person with a mathmatical mind; but even if the whole process of the test does not make perfect sense, you will understand the gist of what they are measuring.
This is on Rob Skiba's "must-read " list , and if you have heard about flat earth, you know how important Rob Skiba is in the search for truth.

I graduated from Seattle Massage School in 1988, began my studies in Thai massage soon thereafter and received my teaching certificate to teach in 1997. Since then I have maintained a private practice in Seattle. I teach internationally. INCREDIBLE BOOK!

I found Kay's book to be such a joy to read, The wonderfull photographs along with clear text made it very user freindly.
It is a must for all LMP's! I recommended it to all my massage students as a great text book. it has over 120 stretches and a section of self care. which is so important for our longiviity!The spiral bound cover is a nice bonus,it makes it so much easier to reference.

Great book

This book is very clearly written and illustrated (actually photographs).

Kay describes the stretch reflex, the 3 types of stretching, and gives some guidelines on when to use which type.

There are over 120 stretches to do with clients and over 25 ways to stretch yourself.

I think this is a great "learning" resource, as well as a good reference book and I would recommend it highly.

This easy-to-use (spiral) workbook is a great tool for massage therapists. The text is explicit and to the point and the photographs supporting each stretch are very clear. An excellent text for what it set out to do.

I really like this book and I'm glad that I got this as low as i did and it is in really good condition too and this book came on time.by the way i only paid .18 cents plus $ 3.99 shipping and handling.So when you buy this book just make sure it is a good price.

A key to the door of everyone's true potential

I bought this book as a 10-year-old in the late 70's, and read it cover-to-cover. I have tried many of the techniques described in the book, and I found that to an extent, they do work. I also found it opened up my mind to ideas beyond the norm, in terms of psychic awareness, influence and inference. There were many books around this subject at the time; one wonders why they have been taken out of circulation?
